2009 Winners

  1. The Frank & Betty Woodhams Memorial Scholarship of $2000 is awarded to Ms. Chandrika Sadanand of Guelph, Ontario, attending the University of Toronto.
  2. The Art Sparrow Scholarship of $1000 is awarded to Mr. Gabriel Tremblay-Parent of Quebec City, attending Université Laval.
  3. A Mensa Canada Scholarship of $750 is awarded to Ms. Brooke Penner of Winnepeg, Manitoba, attending the University of Winnipeg.
  4. A Mensa Canada Scholarship of $750 is awarded to Ms. Kristine Woodley of Sudbury, Ontario, attending the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

  3. A Mensa Canada Scholarship of $750 is awarded to Era Mae Ferron of Brampton, Ontario, attending the University of Toronto.
  4. A Mensa Canada Scholarship of $750 is awarded to Monika Syrzycka of Coquitlam, British Columbia, attending Simon Fraser University.

  2. Jacoba Leyenhorst of Langley, B.C is a Ph.D. student in psychology at Simon Fraser University.
  3. The Art Sparrow Commemorative Scholarship has been awarded to Megan McClure of Calgary Alberta, a Ph.D. student in astrophysics at the University of Toronto.



2001 Winners

  1. Genevieve Brassard of Joliette, Quebec is studying Early Childhood Education at Universite du Quebec in Trois-Rivieres.
  2. Magalie Jutras from Val Morin, Québec is pursuing her doctoral thesis on ethics and politics at Universite du Quebec in Montreal.
  3. Karen McKenzie of Whitby, Ontario, is pursuing studies in Biomedical Science at University of Guelph to become Doctor of Veterinary medicine.
  4. The Art Sparrow Commemorative Scholarship has been awarded to Cindy Camp of Edmonton Alberta, who is studying Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta.

2000 Winners

  1. Hyun Oh Youk wants to become a physics professor and carry out research in theoretical physics. He is enrolled at Victoria College in the University of Toronto for a Bachelor with a specialization in physics and a major in mathematics.
  2. Mohsan Beg wants to focus his doctoral dissertation on intergenerational posttraumatic stress disorder among the First Nations people. He will attend University of Windsor to pursue a PhD program in clinical psychology.
  3. The Art Sparrow Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Mario Boisvert of Repentigny, Québec. Mario Boisvert is pursuing his research on the environmental effect of a biological insecticide. He is attending Université du Québec à Montréal and finishing his PhD in environmental science.
